Asociaţia presei străine de la Hollywood (HFPA) decernează în noaptea de duminică spre luni mult râvnitele trofee ce recompensează cei mai talentaţi actori, regizori şi scenarişti, precum şi cele mai bune producţii cinematografice şi de televiziune ale anului. Favorit în acest an este filmul „Omul Pasăre sau Virtutea nesperată a ignoranţei”/ „Birdman”, în regia lui Alejandro Gonzalez Iñárritu, care a primit nu mai puţin de şapte nominalizări. „Boyhood” de Richard Linklater, şi „The Imitation Game”, de Morten Tyldum, au primit câte cinci nominalizări la GLOBURILE DE AUR 2015.
